Albert Virgil Gaddis age 74 of Dardanelle passed away Sunday, September 2, 2018 at his home. He was born January 15, 1944 at Winchester, TN to the late James Virgil and Nennie Hall Gaddis. He graduated form Franklin High in Tennessee and he finished classes at Arkansas Tech University in Russellville. He was a Unites States Air Force Veteran, Mason 32 Degree, a Shriners and he drove an 18 wheeler for years. He also worked construction, then worked for Russellville Steele for 20 plus years and was a Dispatcher for shipping and receiving until retiring. After retiring he got to drive his truck again "His Love". Al was a member of the Baptist Church and he enjoyed serving God with his church family at Gateway Pentecostal Church of God in Russellville, Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Louise Jernagan, Peggy Parker.
Survivors include his wife, Donna Gaddis of Dardanelle; two daughters and a son-in-law, Stephanie and Buster Elliott of Dardanelle, Traci Donaldson of Dardanelle; one son, John Haney-Gaddis of Dardanelle; sisters and brothers-in-law, Faye and Tom Morrow of Huntland, TN, Martha and Don Ferguson of Georgia, Jerry Parker of Manchester, TN; brother and sister-in-laws, John P. and Becky Barnett, Sheila and Kenny Gilbert, Charles Deeds; three grandchildren, Coltan Talley, Hanna Haney-Gaddis, Chandler Haney-Gaddis; host of nieces, nephews and friends; honorary family, Bro. Joe Yates, Amy Byrd.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00P.M., Thursday, September 6, 2018 at Cornwell Chapel in Dardanelle with Bro. Jerry Vinson officiating. Burial will be in Ringer cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday, 1:00P.M. to 2:00P.M. at the chapel prior to the service.
Pallbearers will be Herb Ault, Chris Ault, Mathew Haney, Mikkia Moulder, Jered Vinson and Luke Chronister.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Youth Ministry at Gateway Pentecostal Church in Russellville.
