Alice Brothers Friend, age 82, of Harvey, Arkansas, passed away peacefully at Chambers Memorial Hospital on February 13, 2025, with her granddaughters Chantal and Mikaela by her side.

Alice was born on April 1, 1942, in Texarkana, Arkansas to Daniel and Nancy Tefteller. She was a faithful member of the Nola Church of Christ. She never met a stranger and when asked how she was doing, it was always "I am blessed." She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved taking care of other people and spent the last 15 years working at the Chambers Memorial Hospital in home health. She loved being outside playing with her dogs and cats. When she loved, she loved hard.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Nancy Tefteller, husbands Claudie Brothers, William (Bill) Friend, JR Rhoades, and James Strickland; son Edward Brothers; great grandson Thomas Lee Strong; one brother Willie Tefteller and one sister Adell McKenzie.

She is survived by her son Floyd (Jennifer) Brothers, daughter-in-law Beverly Brothers, and daughter-in-law Cynthia (Gene) Sax; grandchildren Chandra (Johnathan) Smith, Chantal (Steven) Strong, and Mikaela Brothers; great grandchildren, Maddox, Cailin, Harper, Piper, Charlotte, Edith, and Norah Smith; Jaxon and Lizzy Strong; and Ethan Gordon; one brother Rufus (Pauline) Tefteller

Pallbearers will be Steven Strong, Gene Sax, Justin Dees, Wesley Brothers, Floyd Brothers, and Marcus Richmond.

Honorary pallbearers Maddox Smith, Jaxon Strong, Ethan Gordon, and Butch Patton.

Visitation will be 1:00 to 2:00 pm Sunday, February 16, 2025 at the Nola Church of Christ with funeral services to follow at 2:00 pm. Burial will be at Parks Cemetery at Nola Arkansas.
