Obituary

Mrs. Alta Bea Emery age 78 of Plainview passed from this life on Wednesday, August 29, 2018 as she was granted her promise of eternal life in Heaven.

Mrs. Bea was born April 15, 1940 in Mansfield, AR to the late Herman Myers & Reba Irene Robinson Elmore. She was a mother and homemaker.

Mrs. Bea left a legacy of love and appreciation for her family, friends, and community, her love for God was her greatest testimony to those who knew her.

She was a member of the Trinity House of Prayer in Danville. She was a musician and lead singer for the Levite Gospel Group where she was a servant to God using the skills she was given at a young age. She used her gift in music and touched many hearts. She will be missed but never forgotten.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Johnny Emery; granddaughter, Amanda Lambert; grandsons, Tyler & Taylor Emery; siblings, Louise, Elmer, Lenual, Virginia and Rocky.

Mrs. Bea is survived by her husband of 62 years, Junior Emery; 6 daughters, Pat & Clifford Hales of Rover; Sherry & Brazle Hales of Havana; Anne Willis of Pottsville; Rita & Donald Kelly of Gilkey; Eva & Darrell Houston of Plainview; Jackie & Danny DeLaO of Pottsville; daughter-in-law, Dianna Emery of Plainview; sisters, June Kiker of Snyder, TX; Lana & Glenn Webb of Brownfield, TX; brothers, Demus & Martha Elmore of Brownfield, TX; Charles & Pat Elmore of Morton, TX; Johnny & Laura Elmore of Huntington, AR; Sam Elmore of Brownfield, TX; Ricky & Alice Elmore of Baird, TX; sisters-in-law, Gladys & Earl Clift of Amarillo, TX; Omalee Green of Dumas, TX; 22 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and 8 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at the Trinity House of Prayer Church with Bro. Wayne Shelton officiating. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 pm Monday, September 3, at the church. Burial will be at Salem Cemetery in Plainview.

Pallbearers include her grandsons, Kane, Eric, Phillip, D.J., Danny, and Jake.

Honorary pallbearers include great grandsons.
