Alva B. Sampson Alva Sampson age 100 of Ola died Saturday, August 25, 2012 at the Yell County Nursing Home in Ola. She was born March 17, 1912 in Chickalah, Yell County, Arkansas to the late Jesse Decater and Pearl Pratt Carter. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Robert Carter, Damon Carter, Travis Carter, Otis Carter. Survivors include nephews, nieces, cousins and her special family at the Yell County Nursing Home. Graveside services will be 10:00A.M., Wednesday at Dacus Cemetery with Brother John McCourt officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday, 9:00A.M. to 10:00A.M. at the cemetery prior to the service.
