Ann Cornwell age 83 of Hartford, Arkansas, passed away Saturday. April 11, 2026 at Mercy Hospital in Fort Smith. She was born February 4, 1943 in Waldron, Arkansas. Ann was a member of the James Fork Baptist Church in Mansfield. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Nannie Boyd; her husband, Michael Rush Cornwell, Sr.; one son, Russell Elmore; one daughter, Pam Sebren and five brothers.

Survivors include one daughter, Annette Layne (Allen); five grandsons, Jeff Boyd (Linda), Travis Carter (Kristen), Matt Layne (Tosha), Sheldon Layne (Lyndell), Jake Sebren; great grandchildren, Fallen Layne, Blakely Layne, Dalton Carter, Wyatt Boyd, Jace Carter, Dallas Fuller, Dakota Boyd, Sara Lau, Matthew Lau, Bryson Lau, Cassie Bates; one great great grandchild and one sister-in-law, Norma Shook. She is also survived by her four stepchildren, Michaelle Cornwell, Allison Cornwell, Ashley Greg (Brent), and Michael Rush Cornwell, Jr. (Carrie).

Visitation will be held Friday, April 17, 2026, 10:00A.M. to 11:00A.M. at Cornwell Funeral Chapel in Dardanelle. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00A.M. at the chapel. Burial will be private in Brearley Cemetery.

Grandsons will serve as Pallbearers.
