Anna Gay Douglas, age 80 of Russellville, passed away May 7, 2024 at Russellville Nursing Home. She was born October 18, 1943 in Salyersville, Kentucky to Eddie and Edith Arnett.
On May 4, 1963 she got married to the love of her life Loye Dean Douglas. They had 46 years together. She was a strong, faithful and God fearing woman. She attended Hickory Grove Church and Perryville Freewill Baptist Church. She never met a stranger and was always giving advice. She was a prayer warrior for her friends and family.
In addition to her parents, Anna Gay was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Loye Douglas; her sister, Rella Couch; her brother, Lawrence Arnett and her brother, Paul B. Arnett.
She is survived by her sister, Dixie Couch of Lewiston, Idaho; several nieces and nephews; her only daughter, Sherry Cobb (John); her grandchildren, Shannon Hall (Kirk) of Little Rock, Kara Lee (Matt) of Fayetteville, Shannon Rose (Brandon) of Dardanelle; great grandchildren, Brooks Hall, Elliott Lee, Lexy Gregory (Colton), Zane Rose and her great-great grandson, Bennett Gregory.
A private family graveside service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests considerations of donations made in Anna Gays honor to Arkansas Hospice.
The family would like to extend a Thank You to Russellville Nursing Home and Arkansas Hospice for their compassionate care.
