Anthony "Chovy" Barefield

Anthony "Chovy" Ray Barefield age 42 of Danville died Thursday, June 9, 2016 at his home. He was born January 4, 1974 at Morrilton to Mickey and Carolyn Hawks Barefield. He loved watching football and playing softball and going to the horse races. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, George and Ruby Hawks, Robert Barefield; great grandmothers, Fannie Burnett and Laura Douthit.

Survivors include his wife, Yadira Barefield of Danville; his parents, Mickey and Carolyn Barefield of Ola; children, Payton Barefield of Ola, Briar Barefield of La Place, Louisiana, Jocelyn Barefield, Jalyn Barefield both of Danville; step daughter, Heather Tredwell-Porterfield of Plainview; two sisters, Chasity and husband Nick Gault of Danville, Robin Barefield of Ola; grandmother, Earnestine Barefield of Atkins; nephews and a niece, John Gault, Ryan Gault and Katie Gault all of Danville and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00A.M., Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at Sandlin Cemetery in Ola with Bro. Shane Chancellor officiating. Visitation will be held Tuesday, 5:00P.M. to 7:00P.M. at the funeral home in Danville.
