Arlen Scott, "Scotty" 70 of Briggsville passed away Sunday, October 13, 2019, at his home. He was born September 16, 1949 at Heber Springs, Arkansas to the late Walter and Ida Philmalee Scott. He was a logger, an avid hunter who loved the outdoors and listening to his dogs run. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Frances Scott; brothers, Lelas, Elbert, Thurman, Elmer, and Loyd; sisters, Kathleen, Willa Jean, and Rosa Lee; daughter-in-law, Jana.

Survivors include 2 sons, Johnny Scott and Michael Scott both of Briggsville; step-children, Rochelle Watkins of Greenwood, Deana Via of Dardanelle, Sean Johnson of Centerville; siblings, Shelby Scott of Parks, Donald Scott of Plainview, Gladys Gibson, Lois Velesquez of California, and Hazel Scott of Morrilton; 6 grandchildren, Harley, Brandyn, Brooklyn, Selena, Justin, and Kaden; 6 step-grandchildren. Hunter, Hannah, Avery, Cali, Cole, and Jailee; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, October 18, 2019 at Rover Baptist Church with Rev. Elvin McDill officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Briggsville.

Visitation will be Thursday, October 17 ^th from 6-8 at the funeral home in Danville.

Pallbearers include Steve Matherson, Roy Hodges, Jon McKinnon, Dale Ray Ball, Billy Lofland, and Todd Alvey.
