Arvil Ervin Sims age 95 of Dardanelle, passed away Monday, February 17, 2025 at Dardanelle Nursing and Rehab Center. He was born November 26, 1929 in Chickalah, Arkansas to the late John C. Sims and Fannie Rheuark Sims. He was of the Church of Christ Faith, A United States Air Force Veteran of 21 years in the Korean War and a member of the Dardanelle Lions Club for 50 years. Arvil was preceded in death by his parents and nine siblings.

Survivors include his wife of 69 years, Bobbie Sims; three children, Barry and Angie Sims, Muriel and Tim Barnes, Byron and Anita Sims; two brothers, Cecil Sims, Alton Sims; one sister, Bobbie Jean Denton; five grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00P.M., Friday, February 21, 2025 at Cornwell Funeral Chapel in Dardanelle. Visitation will be held Friday, 1:00P.M. to 2:00P.M. at the chapel prior to the service. Burial will private in Brearley Cemetery in Dardanelle.
