Barbara Jean (Reichelsdorf) Cagle, of Russellville, formerly of Dardanelle, departed this life on April 26, 2026. She was 93, soon to be 94. She was born in Sheboygan, Wisconsin on June 13, 1932 to Allen Edwin Reichelsdorf and Mabel (Lindsey) Reichelsdorf. She was the youngest of 5 children. Her sisters were Gertrude, Kathlyn, and Phyllis and she had one brother, Allen. They all preceded her in death.

Her mom's family moved to the United States from England to Detroit, Michigan. Her dad's family moved to the United States from Germany and her dad only spoke German until learning English in school. Barbara went to a 2-room school in Wisconsin, with 1 room being grades 1-4, and other grades 5-8. She had 8 students in her class. Her family moved to California in 1947. She graduated from Oxnard, CA in 1951. Barbara then worked for Bank of A Levy and met her husband, Gerald Cagle. They married November 18, 1955. They were married 57 years until his death in 2013. Together, they had 2 children; Cynthia Kordsmeier (Steve) of Sherwood and Jerry Cagle of Bentonville. Barbara, Gerald, and the children moved to Arkansas in 1969 where she worked for Levi Strauss, Baldwin Piano, and Morrilton High School as a cook. They later moved to Atkins and then Dardanelle, where she worked for Arkansas Tech for 14 years until she retired. After her husband Gerald passed, she lived in Brookdale Assisted Living and enjoyed her time there. She was a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who will be greatly missed. Barbara enjoyed knitting, playing Bingo, watching Razorback sports, and playing bean bag toss at the Senior Center. She loved being around all people, especially her family.

Barbara is survived by her children, 4 grandchildren: Amy Clark (Jeff), Steven Kordsmeier (Caryne), Lance Kordsmeier (Tina), and Emily Fowler (Kevin); and 8 great-grandchildren; Carson, Cassie, Henry, Kelsey, Andrew, Hayden, Eden, and Ivy.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 29, 2026 from 1:00 PM-2:00PM at Cornwell Chapel, with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 PM. Burial will be private in Caulksville.

Pallbearers will be Jerry Cagle, Steve Kordsmeier, Jeff Clark, Steven Kordsmeier, Lance Kordsmeier, and Kevin Fowler.
