Barbara Jo Ray, age 78 of Dardanelle died Thursday, November 9, 2017, at the St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Russellville. She was born November 18, 1938 in Dardanelle to the late Frank and Mary Klober Balloun. Barbara expressed her love of people by serving yell county as the Justice of the Peace and the Director of nursing at the Dardanelle Nursing Center for more than 20 years. She is proceeded in death by her parents , brother, Robert F. Balloun and son, John David Ray.

Survivors include her children; Frank Ray (Timi) of Fayetteville, Jeffrey Ray (Susan) of Dardanelle, Mary Anne Daves (Dwight) of Dardanelle; Grandchildren, Frankie, Tiffani and John G. Ray, Brittany Harben, Shelby, Hannah, Emily, Myah, Luke and David Ray, Delaney, Danielle and Dalen Daves; great-grandchildren, Parker and Kimberli Ray, John-Cade and Everlee Curtis.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00A.M., Monday, November 13, 2017 at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Dardanelle with Father Mauricio Carrasco officiating. Burial will be at Brearley Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday, 6:00P.M. to 8:00P.M. at the church prior to the service. Rosary will begin at 5:30P.M.

Pallbearers will be Steve Balloun, John G. Ray, Dalen Daves, Luke Ray, Seth Balloun, Jeremy Cheatham, Frankie Ray, Tyler Balloun.

Honorary Pallbearers will be David Ray and Irvin Balloun .
