Mrs. Barbara Stokes, age 80, of Ola, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday morning, April 28, 2021, at Chambers Memorial Hospital. She was born May 19, 1940, in Henderson, Texas, a daughter of the late George and Louise Luff.  Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Milton Luff, and one sister, Bertha Cox.

She was a member of Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church in Birta, AR, and a homemaker. She was retired from the Ola School District. She loved her church, her family, travelling with her sisters, and most of all, playing with her great grandbabies.

Barbara is survived by her husband of 60 years, Charles "Buddy" Stokes, one daughter, Karen Stokes (Steve Rose) of Ola, and one son, Keith Stokes (Julie) of Dardanelle; three grandchildren, Chase Hubbard (Stephanie) of North Little Rock, Chip Stokes (Lori) of Dardanelle, and Abbey Stokes of Dardanelle; six great grandchildren, Landen Morgan, Ali, Elijah, and Hunter Hubbard, and Colt and Caroline Stokes; three sisters, Mary Laska, Dorothy Haire, and Patty Swain all of Texas; and several nieces and nephews.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Visitation is from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, April 30, 2021 at Cornwell Funeral Home in Dardanelle.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church in Birta, AR, with Brother Daniel Conditt officiating. Burial will follow at Birta Community Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Chase Hubbard, Ernie Haire, Kenny McCoy, Billy McCoy, Jesse McCoy and A.J. Malnar.
