Beatrice Ella Josephine Gwin Garner Yeats age 95 of Harvey went to be with her Lord on January 15, 2013. She was born in Little Texas, Arkansas, on May 6, 1917, to Cecil and Lula Hunnicutt Gwin. She was a 1935 graduate of Fourche Valley School, a teacher, homemaker, merchant, and nursing home hostess. She was a member of Eastern Star, the Fourche Valley Fire Department and attended Mulberry Freewill Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Otho Woodrow Garner, with whom she shared operating a grocery store and farm as well as movie theaters in several towns ranging from Bluffton, Gravelly, Blue Ball and Boles to Casa and Adona while they raised their children. The theater business lasted many years but eventually died as television became common. She was known for her love of gardening, reading, and writing. She especially enjoyed helping others and being with her children and grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her second husband Millage "Buck" Yeats, her parents, sister, Allie Douthit, brothers, Loy and Troy Lee Gwin,and grandson, Kerry Ferguson. She is survived by her sons, Garry and wife Sheila Garner of Harvey, AR, Rodney and wife Susan Garner of North Little Rock, AR, daughter, Jerry Ferguson of Gravelly, AR, step-daughter, Donna Jean Hardin of Florrisant, MO, sister, Eunice Kendrick of Danville, and grandchildren, David Garner, Susan Richmond, Chris Garner, Trace Garner, Shelly Garner, BJ Garner, Sherry Bishop, Kevin Ferguson, Karen Bruton, 22 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Memorial service will be at Mulberry Free Will Baptist Church on Friday, January 18, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. David Riker, Garry Garner and Susan Garner officiating. She requested no flowers but memorials may be made to Parks Cemetery, PO Box 49, Gravelly, AR or Young Gravelly Cemetery PO Box 36, Gravelly, AR 72838.
