Becky
Dixon
January 10, 1954 – October 4, 2024
Rebecca "Becky" Annette Dixon, affectionately known as Becky, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of October 4, 2024, at 2:28 a.m. surrounded by love. While her battle with illness ended in a way we hadn't hoped, she won her fight with grace and strength, finding peace in the arms of those who loved her dearly.
Born on January 10, 1954 to the late Ed and Mable Qualls Hulsey. Becky was a beacon of love, joy, and warmth. On October 27, 1975, she married the love of her life, Greg Dixon, beginning a beautiful journey together that spanned nearly 50 years. Together, they built a life full of love, laughter, and cherished memories. She was Greg's travel buddy, and the two shared countless adventures, always side by side.
Becky is survived by her devoted husband, Greg; her beloved daughter, Kim Tippin (Dustin) of Sedalia, MO; and her treasured son, Phillip Dixon (Areli) of West Monroe, LA. She was the proud and adoring grandmother to her three precious granddaughters, Hannah, Katelyn, and Kelsey Tippin of Sedalia, MO. She is also survived by her siblings; Wanda Smalling-Raines, Norma Minton, Linda Stinson, Janice Miller (Tim), and Jimmy Hulsey (Kathy); mother-in-law, Ina Dixon; brothers-in-law Steve Dixon (Pam). Mike Dixon (Judy) and Nathan George. Becky loved her family fiercely, and they were the center of her world. Her children and grandchildren were her pride and joy, and she gave them all of her heart. She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Della Mae Beggs and her husband Lonnie, Sonny Hulsey and his wife Barbara and Betty Gaston; father-in-law, Don Dixon; sister-in-law, Jan George.
Becky was known for her incredible generosity and kindness. She had a gift for making everyone feel special, and her presence was a joy to all who knew her. She loved with an open heart, and in return, she was deeply loved by so many. Her spirit was gentle, but her strength was undeniable. She fought her illness bravely, never giving up, always full of hope.
One of her favorite places on earth was her deck, where she found peace watching the birds. It was her happy place, a quiet sanctuary where she could reflect and enjoy the beauty of nature. Becky's love for life and her infectious joy will be deeply missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of those who were lucky enough to know her.
Funeral Services will be held to honor her life and the love she gave so freely at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, October 8, 2024 at Cornwell Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be held Monday, October 7, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in Sandlin Cemetery at Ola.
