Bertha Pennington Bertha Mae Pennington age 87 of Ola died Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at Chambers Memorial Hospital. She was born April 14, 1925 at Ola to the late Clarence and Bertha Smith George. She was a mother and a home maker and a member of the Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Patrick Neal Pennington; sisters, Geneva George, Loueva Mills, Zell George and an infant brother, Joe David George. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Sherry and Michael Holt of Ola; one sister, Betty Sue George of Mt. George; brother and sister-in-law, Sonny and Betty Jo George of Mt. George; two grandsons, Richard and Brittany Holt of Mt. George, Jessie Holt and Kimberley of Centerville; one great grandson, Elijah Holt of Mt. George and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00P.M., Friday, January 18, 2013 at the Ola Church of Christ with Bro. John David Keeling officiating. Burial will be in Mt. George Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday, 6:00P.M. to 8:00P.M. at the chapel. Pallbearers will be Nathan George, Frankie Pennington, Leonard Keeling, Bill Mills,Harlon Porter, Jerry Porter.
