Betty Avery age 75 of Dardanelle died Thursday, January 9, 2014, at St. Mary's Hospital in Russellville. She was born February 18, 1938 to the late Robert Bennett and Mittie Carrie Rowland. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Bobby Lee Avery, son, Randall Dean Avery, brothers, Charles Rowland, George Rowland and sister, Nettie Rowland. Survivors include four children, Patricia Avery of Dardanelle, Betty Ann Ford of Jacksonville, Jerry Lee Avery of Dardanelle and William Lee Avery of Osceola; four brothers, James Rowland, Rayle Rowland, Ricky Rowland all of Dardanelle and Bobby Rowland of Dyess; five sisters, Loice Robertson of Dardanelle, Wanda Strandrige of Delaware, Ruby Potts of Ola, Nina Gist of Danville and Virginia Joslin of Missouri; six grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Services will be 10:00AM Monday, January 13, 2014 at Cornwell Chapel in Dardanelle with Rev. Kerney Price. Burial will be private in Brearley Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, 10 AM until 1 PM at Cornwell Funeral Home, Dardanelle. Arrangements are by Corwnell Funeral Home in Dardanelle.
