Betty Jo Barnes age 86 of Ola passed away Saturday, December 18, 2021 at Dardanelle Nursing and Rehab Center. She was born August 3, 1935 in Carden Bottoms, Arkansas to the late Jimmy Lee Ballinger and Edith Florene Garner Ballinger. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Olon Barnes; her daughter, Cora Barnes; six brothers and four sisters.

Survivors include five children, Paulette Puhrmann of Washington State, Loretta Hyde of Houston, Texas, Douglas Barnes of Las Vegas, Nevada, Eric Barnes of Ola, Donnie Meredith of Atkins; two sisters, Tommie Lou Liska of Centerville, Pansy Nail of Alma; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and several nephews and nieces.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.
