Betty Sue Burns of Russellville passed away Tuesday, Sept. 21. Born in 1937 in Lepanto, AR., Betty had seven sisters and two brothers. In 1954, she married Joe Burns, her husband of sixty-seven years. Together with Joe, Betty raised two sons and was preceded in death by their daughter. Betty was beloved by her three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Known for her sense of humor, Betty was kind, fierce, and deeply dedicated to her family.

Betty is survived by her husband Joe; sons Jeff & Billy Joe; younger sister Patsy Dyer; and grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as her many nieces and nephews. We hate to see her go. She will be sorely missed.

The family will host a private memorial at a later date .
