Betty Sue Chapman age 83 of Plainview passed away Thursday, May 22, 2014 at Mitchell's Nursing Home. She was born August 11, 1930 in Yellville, AR to the late James Walton & Mamie Pilgrim Crews. She was retired from Baxter Laboratory in Mt. Home and an aide for the Plainview School and a member of the Plainview Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands Jim Greenwood and Arthur "Tommy" Chapman; brothers, James Crews, Jewell Crews; sisters Mavis Phillips, Evalee Owens, Bonnie Hall and Ernestine LaMont; nephews Billy Ray Owens and Donnie Paul Guthrie. Survivors include children, Donna & Butch Gossett of Onyx; Jimmy & Mary Jane Greenwood of Russellville; sister Laura Mildred "Billie" Owens of Havana; grandchildren, William Gossett lll of Onyx; Caroline & John Hogue of Plainview; Glenda Johnson of Dover; great-grandchildren, Chloe Gossett Hogue; Brandon, Adah & James Johnson of Dover and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 24, at the Plainview Church of Christ with son-in-law, Butch Gossett officiating. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery in Flippin, AR. Visitation will be 9:00 to 10:00 before service at the church. Pallbearers include Plainview Church of Christ members.
