Betty Jane Pfeifer McGee, 82 of Dardanelle, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord at her home on Monday, September 26, 2016. She was born in Dardanelle, Arkansas, on March 18, 1934, to Henry " Hank " Pfeifer and Jennie Prochazka Preifer.
Upon graduation from Dardanelle High School, she went to work at the Dime Store. She next worked at Janet Davis Kitchens where she met her husband, Jerry McGee Sr. They have been married 61 years and have four children, five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Her main job in life was homemaker at which she excelled. She also loved the outdoors - gardening, yardwork, fence building and tending to the animals that the family had over the years. She was a member of Dardanelle Missionary Baptist Church and loved her church family.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her son, Jerry McGee, Jr., her
in-laws, Dick and Jackie McGee and a brother-in-law, Jim Ed McGee. She is survived by her husband, Jerry McGee, Sr., two daughters, Mary Mcgee of Dardanelle, AR, Vicki (Robinson) Crow of North Little Rock, AR, one son, Jeffrey (Dana) McGee of Dardanelle, AR, one daughter-in-law Cindy McGee Vollers (Mike) of Okalahom, City, OK, five grandchildren, Jerry " Trey " McGee III, Travis McGee, Jacob McGee, Jared McGee, all of Little Rock, AR, Lisa Crow of North Little Rock, AR, one great-grandchild, Emma McGee of Little Rock, AR., one brother, Joe (Peggy) Pfeifer of Dardanelle, AR and one sister, Helen (David) Wood of Dardanelle, AR.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00A.M., Monday, October 3, 2016 at Cornwell Chapel in Dardanelle with Bro. Tom McElmurry and Bro. Kenneth Eubanks officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday, 2:00P.m. to 4:00P.M. at the chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Arkansas Hospice, 2405 East Parkway, Suite 3, Russellville, Arkansas 72802.
