Betty Mae Raney age 87 of Russellville, passed away Sunday, January 5, 2025 at Stella Manor Nursing Center in Russellville. She was born September 4, 1937 in Centerville, Arkansas to the late William "Ray" Archie Gist and Estell Underwood Gist. She loved to fish, garden, and spend time with her family. Betty was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Irvin Raney; two sons, David Raney, Mark Raney; brothers, J.B. Underwood, Jack Gist and sisters, Wilma Faye Gist Coffman, Judy Marie Gist and infant Bonnie Gist.

Survivors include one daughter, Jan Raney; two sisters, Monnie Richards, Linda Gillham; seven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren and several nephews and nieces.

Funeral services were held at 2:00P.M., Wednesday, January 8, 2025 at Cornwell Funeral Chapel in Dardanelle with Rev. Thomas Stover officiating. Burial was in Petillo Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Thomas Stover, Evert Gist, Dennis Gist, Noah Robinson, Brian Raney and Carl R. Abbott.
