Betty Dois Jean Sims, 74, of Scranton went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, March 27, 2013 in Clarksville. She was born June 23, 1938 in Magazine to the late Dick Thomas and Hazel Thomas Dixon. She was a homemaker and attended Dublin Freewill Baptist Church. Preceded in death by her parents and first husband Claude Jean Sr. She is survived by her husband Billy Sims; son Claude Jean and wife Angela of Belleville; two brothers C.W. Thomas and wife Annette of Magazine, and Bo Thomas and wife Daisy of Greenwood; two sisters Debbie Sims and husband Alton of Scranton and Sandy Clayton of Paris; two grandchildren Kayla Jean Hart and husband Kevin of Morrilton and Lakin Jean Smith and husband Levi of Alma; four great-grandchildren Ryley, Collin and Caroline Hart and Tinley Smith; as well as other family members and friends. Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 1, 2013 at the Cornwell Funeral Home Chapel Danville with Rev. Shane Casper officiating. Burial will be at Russell Cemetery.
