Betty Jean Smith age 93 of Danville passed away Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at Mitchell's Nursing Home.

Betty was born February 8, 1929 at Terrell, Texas to the late Elting & Vera Clarida Woodring. She was member of the Ola United Methodist Church and life-long supporter of College Mound Methodist Church in Terrell Texas. She was a big Danville Little John and Dallas Cowboy fan, she loved fishing and spending time with her family.

Preceded in death by her husband Coy H. Smith; sons, Don Reid Smith and Eddie Warren Smith; brother, Harold Woodring; sister, Alma Boggs; granddaughter, Samantha Harper Hale.

Survivors include her daughter, Anita & Elden Harper of Rover; grandchildren, Bob Harper of Paris, Tommy & Christie Hale of Danville, Lucas Smith of Fayetteville; Lori Smith, Tammy Smith Janssen, Candace Smith Smith; great-grandchildren, Travis Hale of Rover and Seth Hale of Danville, Alexis Roddy and Lauren Deeds; many greatgrandchildren, family and friends; chosen family, Rodney Center.

Graveside service will be 10:00 am Thursday, March 10, 2022 at Casa Cemetery with Dusty Wright officiating. Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the Danville Gymnasium.

Pallbearers include Steve Pfeifer, Bob Harper, Travis Hale, Seth Hale,
Tommy Hale, Alan Faulkner.

Honorary pallbearers include Her Mitchell's Nursing Home Family.
