Billie was a humble, God fearing man who was loved and respected by all who knew him. There are countless cherished memories, many of which were tied to his great sense of humor.
Billie was born on 18 June 1940 in Iuka, AR. He joined the U.S. Army in 1957 and spent just over 20 years serving his country, where he did two tours in Vietnam and retired in Tacoma, WA. Billie worked for the city of Tacoma and retired there at his retirement age of 67. Billie liked to stay busy so he worked briefly with Goodwill industries and then with LeMay trucking until he finally settled down to enjoy full time retirement. Billie met the love of his life, Caroline Carter in October 1988 and was dedicated to her until her death on 23 October 2020.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00P.M., Tuesday 5 January 2021 at the Chickalah Cemetery (south) located just south of Hwy 27 in Chickalah, Arkansas. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Billie's life.
