Billy Joe Melton age 67 of Rover passed away Tuesday, October 30, 2017 at Chambers Memorial Hospital.

He was born April 10, 1951 in Danville, Arkansas to the late Edd & Evelyn Spainhour Melton. Billy Joe was retired from the U.S. Forest Service. He loved deer hunting and gardening.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister and brother-in-law, Linda Hill and Billy Ray Hill.

Survivors include his children, Daniel Melton; Andy Melton (Diana); Allison Melton; Joelle Melton; Mandy Beavers (Chris); grandchildren, Tyler Beavers, Clay Beavers, Isaiah Melton, Bentley Melton, Logan Ward, RayLee Melton, Vivienne Melton; great-grandchildren, Corbyn Beavers, Kaiden Martin, Kaysn Beavers; nephews, Kenny Hill (Kelly); Kelly Hill (Patricia); great-nieces and nephews, Billy Wayne Hill (Kiley), Katherine Hill, Kenley Hill, and Kelton Hill; a host of family and friends and his beloved pet Zeek.

Funeral service will be 2:00 pm Monday, November 5, 2018 at the Lighthouse Christian Center in Wing with Bro. Dan Osolin officiating. Visitation will be 1:00 to 2:00 pm before the service at the church. Burial will be at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Briggsville.
