Billy Don Smith age 66 of Dardanelle passed away Thursday, February 25, 2021 at his home. He was born October 23, 1954 in Russellville, Arkansas to the late Melvin J. Smith and Betty C. Tillmon Smith. He was a 1973 graduate of Dardanelle High School, a past manager of the Dardanelle City Water Department and former chief of the Dardanelle Volunteer Fire Department. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Sally Ann Smith.

Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Betty Strnad Smith; one daughter, Sandy Smith Rothwell; two brothers, Thomas Smith, James Smith and two grandchildren, Colby and Taylor Rothwell.

Memorial donations may be made to the Dardanelle Fire Department.
