Bob Richey

Bobby Charles Richey, aka Bob the Builder, age 69 of Dardanelle died Sunday, October 23, 2016 at River Valley Medical Center. He was born September 18, 1947 at Batesville to Theodore Roosevelt and Nina Omalee Gillihan Richey. He was a member of the Ard Southern Baptist Church, Yell County Wildlife Federation, a sponsor of Richey Rockers Softball team and he owned and operated Richey Construction for over 40 years. He was preceded in death by his mother, Omalee Richey and one brother, Jim Richey.

Survivors include his wife Rae Ann Richey of Dardanelle; his father, T.R. Richey of Richey; eight children, Dr. Jason Richey (Tracy) of Paris, Stewart Richey of Dardanelle, MaRya Hunnicut (Craig) of Russellville, Chelsea Spears of Russellville, Rusty Jones of Dardanelle, Sezon Jones (Steve) of Dardanelle, Ryan Jones of Dardanelle, Raley Palmer (Jerrod) of Dardanelle; one sister, Jackie Taylor (Doug) of Dover; two brothers, Terry Richey (Nancy) of Russellville, Frank Richey (Kathy) of Pennsylvania; mother-in-law, Barbara Butcher of Dardanelle; best friend, Jerry Taylor of Gumlog; fifteen grandchildren and one on the way due in February 2017; one great grandchild and one on the way due in May 2017.

Funeral services will be held at 6:00P.M., Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at Cornwell Chapel in Dardanelle with Rev. Larry McDaniel officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday, 4:30P.M. to 6:00P.M. at the chapel prior to the service.
