Obituary

Bobby Lynn Burrows age 72 of Danville passed away Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at Chambers Memorial Hospital after a long battle with Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension. He was born August 23, 1941 in Havana, Arkansas to the late Leon and Jessie Davis Burrows. Bobby served in the U.S. National Guard for 6 years. He delivered propane for 37 ½ years. In 1992, he and his co-owner established a local propane business, S & B Rural Propane, Inc. Bobby lived his life serving the Lord and loved his ministry as a praise and worship song leader, and also served as Sunday School Superintendent and Trustee. He was a member of Danville Assembly of God Church. His devotion to his family, friends, and loyalty to all made him a pillar of his community. He was preceded in death by his parents Leon & Jessie Davis Burrows, 2 sisters, Willagene Houtain & Dorothy Owens and a nephew Jimmy Owens. Bobby is survived by his loving wife of 41 years Frances Ramey Dickey Burrows, son, daughters and son-in-laws, Larry & Lisa Shingleur, Sr. of Pottsville, Tom & Rhonda May of Danville, Sam and Kim Beggs of Hackett, Robert and Mendy Grubbs of Ratcliff, David R. Dickey of Fayetteville and Travis and Nancy Frick of Danville. Sister and brother-in-law, Retha and Clyde Parks of Booneville, and Bob Houtain of Fort Smith. Grandchildren Clayton, Brooklyn, Emma Grace Frick of Danville, Derek Brady of Boonville, T. J. May United States Army, El Paso Texas, Cameron May of Lowell, Tiffany May of Danville, Aaron and Autumn Poston, Lance & Ashley Noble all of Elk City, Tyler & Rachell Davenport of Charleston, Savannah Davenport of Russellville, Larry & Laura Shingleur, Jr. of Russellville, Lance & Kathryn Shingleur of Russellville . Great-grandchildren include: Jace Brady of Texas, Adalynne & Austin Poston of Elk City Ok., Parker and Maddex Noble of Elk City OK, Conner Davenport of Charleston, and Lindley Shingleur of Russellville. Bobby had a number of nieces and nephews and a great host of friends. Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, April 4, 2014, at the Danville First Baptist Church with Rev. Sam Austin, Rev. Ron Reddin and Larry Shingleur, Jr., officiating. Burial will be at Earl Ladd Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, at the Danville First Baptist Church. Pallbearers include Grandsons Derek Brady, Larry Shingleur, Jr., Lance Shingleur, T.J. May, Cameron May, Clayton Frick,Tyler Davenport, Lance Noble and Aaron Poston. Honorary Pallbearers include L.Compton George, Cliff Hunnicutt, Floyd James, Charles Palmer, Steve Pfeifer, Don Pool, Jerry Spears, A.L. Stapleton.
