Bobby Ray Parsons age 73 of Dardanelle died Friday, September 27, 2019 at Dardanelle Regional Medical Center. He was born October 5, 1945 at Dardanelle, Arkansas to the late Dave Theodore and Bertie Armanda Hodges Parsons. He was a road foreman for the Yell County Road Department part owner of Parsons Brothers Ashpalt, and a member of the Army National Guard. He loved to go hunting, going fishing and going to work, but most of all spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant sister, Bertha and one brother, Clifford Parsons.

Survivors include his children, Penny and James Sims, Davey and Kacey Parsons all of Dardanelle; one brother, David Leroy Parsons and wife Shirley of Dardanelle; one sister, Ernestine Duffield of Russellville; sister-in-law, Joan Parsons of Dardanelle and four grandchildren, Morgan Parsons, Bo Parsons, Raeleigh Sims and Evan Sims.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00P.M., Tuesday, October 1, 2019 at Cornwell Chapel in Dardanelle with Bro. Jared Higginbotham officiating. Burial will be in Brearley Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday, 6:00P.M. to 8:00P.M. at the chapel.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Parsons, Jeff Reece, Mitchell Emerson, Andy Ward, John Bearden, Choate Reece, Will Knight, James Sims.

Honorary Pallbearers will be the Yell County Road Department, Lanny Carter.
