Bob Underwood

Bobby "Bob" Odell Underwood, age 80 of Dardanelle, passed away Saturday, November 28, 2020.  He was born December 20, 1939 in Danville, Arkansas to the late Tolbert and Josie Jewell "Dollie" Shockley Underwood.  Bob was a member of the Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church in Birta and the Arkansas Army National Guard.  He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Kevin Wayne Underwood; one brother, Roy Underwood and one sister, Georgeann Gist.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Nancy Becky George Underwood; one daughter-in-law, Cindy Lynn McCarley Underwood; one brother, Wayne Underwood (Judy); four sisters, Jewell House, Effie Catlett, Eulene Brown and Carolyn Marenic (Lee); four grandchildren, Brittany Basham (Sean), Josh Underwood, Rachel Underwood and Ellen Underwood; six great grandchildren, Emylee, Logan, Sophie and Charlotte Basham, Paisleigh and Beckett Peeples.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 3, 2020 at Bethlehem Missionary Baptists Church in Birta with Bro. Jon Holbrook, Bro. James George and Bro. Ricky Kimzey officiating.  Burial will be at Birta Cemetery.  Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 2, 2020 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Cornwell Funeral Home Chapel in Dardanelle.

Pallbearers will be Gary Wood, Kenneth McCoy, Billy McCoy, Ryan Davis, Keith George and Kevin Irwin.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Bubba Vance, Aaron George, Danny Underwood, Jeremy Belknap, Don Frost, Bobby Gist and Mike McCoy.
