Obituary

Brad Wear Eddie Bradford "Brad" Wear age 47 of the Omega Community in Dardanelle, found eternal peace on Thursday, May 28, 2015 at the River Valley Medical Center. He was born August 16, 1967 at the Dardanelle Hospital to John and Rosalie Carter Wear. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church. From an early age Brad worked with his father John on their family farm. In 1990 he and his wife began a swine operation and later raised laying hens with their son, Jonathan. Brad also held the office of Yell County Judge from 2005 thru 2010. Brad was involved in the community serving on various boards of civic organizations. The Dardanelle Chamber of Commerce recognized him as the Yell County Citizen of the Year in 2010. Brad enjoyed hunting and fishing and coaching his children's baseball and softball teams. He was preceded in death by his mother, Rosalie Carter Wear; grandparents, Hugh and Earl Wear, Ed and Esther Carter; one aunt, Glenda Wear Taylor; one uncle, Larry Wayne Carter. Survivors include his wife, Sondra Griffin Wear of Omega; father, John Wear of Omega; In-laws, Bob and Peggy Griffin of Dardanelle; two children, Jonathan Wear and Hallie Wear both of Omega; two sisters, Johnna Duncan and husband Bobby of Bentonville, Jennifer Golman and husband Tim of Benton; Brother in Law, Gary Griffin and wife Shannon of Hot Springs; Nieces and Nephews, Chelsea Hand, Sydnee Golman, Courtney Golman, Matthew Duncan, Rachel Kirksey, Courtney Thompson, Chris Griffin and Michael Santamaria; and a host of other family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 P.M., Sunday, May 31, 2015 at Dardanelle First United Methodist Church with Bro Jim Benfer officiating. Burial will be in Shepherd Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 5:00 P.M. Saturday, May 30, at Cornwell Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Witt, Edwin Vestal, Mike Vernon, Jerry Dawson, James Brown, Kris Lott. Honorary Pallbearers will be all Employees of Yell County. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Brad Wear Memorial Fund at the First United Methodist Church, P.O.
