Brenda Lou McClaine age 82 of Lamar, passed away Saturday, November 29, 2025 at Russellville Nursing and Rehab Center. She was born March 25, 1943 in Belleville, Arkansas to the late Coy Cates and Lola McGuran Cates. She loved gardening, shopping, road trips and spending time with her family. Brenda was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Cindy Broyles; three brothers, Lloyd Cates, Joe Cates, Bobby cates and one sister, Sue Ball.

Survivors include her husband, Kenneth McClaine; five children, Jerri Blethen (Pat), LeAnn Broyles, Cheryl Broyles, Randy Broyles (Lisa), Shane Sadler; one sister, Ann Peterson (Terry); grandchildren, Chasity Bird, Cody Bird (Lyndsey), Jody Broyles (Gaby), David Hayes, Ashley Bennett (Trey), Alyssa Benham, Logan Broyles (Emily), Tanner Broyles, Addyson Broyles, Dalton Sadler, Shaeleigh Adams, Steven Adams, Justin Adams; twelve great grandchildren and one on the way and a niece, Missy Kelley of Little Rock, Arkansas.

A Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, 5:00P.M. to 7:00P.M. at Cornwell Funeral Chapel in Dardanelle.
