Brenda Kay Reid, age 77 of Dardanelle, passed away Saturday, August 10, 2024 at Baptist Health Medical Center in Conway. She was born January 19, 1947 in Dardanelle, Arkansas to the late Harold Watkins and Gussie Taylor Watkins. She was a devoted member of the Dardanelle Church of Christ, and a member of the Arkansas Retired Teachers Association. Brenda loved having the role of wife, mother, and nana. She was exceptionally proud to have worked for the Dardanelle School District for 48 years. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Lynda Collins and her brother-in-law, Bill Thomas.

Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Jackie Reid; two children, Jeff Reid, Eric Reid (Meggan); one sister, Shelba Thomas; one brother, Bill Watkins (Bonnie); and three grandchildren, Amrynn Reid, Callan Reid, Laelynn Reid; nieces, Tammy Tharp, Vicki VanHorn, Renee' Trotter (Scott); nephews, Stanley Tapp, Matthew Harvey, Chad Matayo, along with extended family members.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00P.M., Saturday, August 17, 2024 at Cornwell Funeral Chapel in Dardanelle with Bro. Mark Auten officiating. Visitation will be held Saturday, 1:00P.M. to 2:00P.M. at the chapel prior to the service. Burial will be private in Brearley Cemetery in Dardanelle.

Pallbearers will be Callan Reid, Gary Metz, Stanley Tapp and Chad Matayo.

Honorary Pallbearers will be the members of the Dardanelle Church of Christ.
