Brownie Arthel Thomas Sr., age 81 of Ola passed away Monday, November 20, 2023 at Arkansas Children's Hospital.

Brownie was born February 18, 1942 in Fletcher, Oklahoma to the late Brownie Victor & Juanita Wilson Thomas. He was a farmer and carpenter.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Brownie Thomas Jr; daughter, Martha Arace; brothers, Bill Thomas, Phil Thomas, and Pete "Peachy" Thomas; sisters, JoyFaye Crumpton, Ann Love, Barbara Crabtree, Betty Hamm; granddaughter, Sabrina Wells and great-grandson, Sheldon Trammell.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Billye Thomas; children, Kim & Joe Hovis of Guston, KY., Gala Sewell of Dardanelle, Sean & Jamie Thomas of Coal Hill, Tony & Jamie Thomas of Crow Mountain, Billy & Misty Thomas of Carls Junction, MO., and Mary Kesecker of Berkley Springs, West VA.; daughter-in-law, Cathy Thomas of Centerville; brother, Tony & Sharon Thomas of Grants Pass, Oregon; 27 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 2:00 pm Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at Briggsville United Methodist Church with Rev. Donald Walker officiating. Visitation will be 1:00 to 2:00 pm before the service at the church. Burial will be at Mt. Zion Cemetery.

Pallbearers include Sean Thomas, Joshua Thomas, Tony Thomas, Stevie Thomas, Dakota Thomas and William Fowler.

Honorary pallbearers include Steve Hunnicutt, Joe Hovis and Camp 4 Outlaws.
