C. A. Buck Powers age 81 of Ola passed away Sunday August 28, 2011 at St. Marys Medical Center in Russellville.

He was born March 21, 1930 in Danville (Moss Creek) Arkansas to the late Cloyd Asberry & Ruby L. Miller Powers. He was a Marines Veteran, a life time member of the Rogers-Rye VFW Post #2283 in Russellville.

Preceded in death by his parents; brother, Curt Jim Powers.

Survivors include daughters & sons-in-law, Debra Renee & Tim Dees of Broomfield, CO; Janice Cloy & Ted Weigand of Florida; Cheryl Lynn & Rick Crawford of Spickard, MO; sisters Bernice Wilson of Sand Springs, OK; Arlene Morton of Stanville, KY; Fern (Midge) & Don Whitlow of Plainview; Selma Caldwell of Canyon County, CA; brothers Joe Powers of Danville; 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; special friends Greg Henkel & Kelly Wallace of Clarksville; several nieces & nephew.

Graveside service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 2, 2011 at Earl Ladd Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, September 1 at Danville Cornwell Funeral Home.
