Bud Rector

Bud A. Rector age 101 of Dardanelle died Sunday, June 5, 2016 at Arkansas Hospice River Valley Home in Russellville. He was born December 6, 1914 at Harkey's Valley to the late Charles and Dorothy Tucker Rector. He was a member of the Faith Church in Dardanelle and a United States Army WWII Veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Norma Lee Murdock Rector; a son, Jimmy Stone and a brother, Buford Rector.

Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Dorothy and Hurston Cook of Greenbrier; four grandchildren, Cassie and Brad Fuller of Dallas, Texas, Stephanie and Brett Madison of San Francisco, California, Mark and Leah Stone, Paul and Becky Stone all of Berryville; four great grandchildren, Lawson Fuller, Jonas Madison, Harlan Fuller, Hurston Madison, Garrett Stone, Landon Stone, Marlea Stone, Davis Stone, Anna Caroline Stone, Anna Brook Dalton, Elizabeth Dalton; nephew, David Rector of Dardanelle; nieces, Patricia Thomas and Aubrey Thomas of Clarksville; great nephews, Charles and Ashley Rector of Dardanelle, Russell and Maria Rector of Russellville, Neil Thomas of Clarksville; great niece, Teresa Thomas of Clarksville; sister-in-law, Patsy and Don Shew of Dardanelle; brother-in-law, Leighton and Etta Jean Murdock of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and loved ones, Brenda Stone of Russellville, Connie Banks  Leggett of Harrison.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00A.M., Monday, June 13, 2016 at Cornwell Chapel in Dardanelle with his son-in-law Hurston Cook officiating. Burial with Military Honors will be in Brearley Cemetery in Dardanelle. Visitation will be held Sunday, 3:00P.M. to 5:00P.M. at the chapel.

Pallbearers will be Brad Fuller, David Rector, Charles Rector, Russell Rector, Mark Stone, Paul Stone.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Brett Madison, Dana Banks, Geoffrey Banks, Bud Choate, Hoyt Crow, T.R. Ritchie, past and present Employees of Dardanelle School District.
