Buddy Rodgers

Buddy Darrell Rodgers age 81 of Russellville died Monday, March 7, 2016 at Conway Regional Medical Center. He was born April 28, 1934 at Birta to the late Ira Edwin and Mary Ann George Rodgers. He attended the Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church in Birta. Buddy was a salesman for AutoZone for over 30 years and was a United States Army Veteran during the Vietnam War where he was an airplane mechanic. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, carol Ann Rodgers; mother of his children, Iris Gale Bly Williams; one son, Gregory Rodgers; one brother, Carroll Rodgers and one sister, Juenell Newhart.

Survivors include three children, Stephanie Rodgers Barnett of Russellville, Stacey Rodgers of London, England, Eric Rodgers of Russellville; three stepchildren, Sheila Welling, Tonia Kitchens, Tara Hartwick; one daughter-in-law, Anita Rodgers of Hot Springs; nine grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00P.M., Friday, March 11, 2016 at Cornwell Chapel in Dardanelle with Bro. Ricky Kimzey officiating. Burial will be in Birta Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, 1:00P.M. to 2:00P.M. at the chapel prior to the service.

Pallbearers will be Sammy George, Nathan George, D. Bly, Eric Rodgers, Adam Watson.
