B. W. "Boots" Rhoades age 89 of Nola passed away Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at his home. He was born October 10, 1924 in Young Gravelly, Arkansas to the late John & Margie Fowler Rhoades. He was a highly decorated WWII Army Veteran. Boots was a cattle farmer and a member of the Mulberry Free Will Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Lou Morehead Rhoades and parents. Survivors include son & daughter-in-law, Ray & Charlotte Rhoades of Nola; daughter & son-in-law, Vickie & Jim Roberson of Bluffton; grandchildren, Shaun & Tonia Rhoades of Harvey; Brooke & Graig Youngwolfe of Greenwood; great-grandchildren, Makenzie & Kacey Strunk; Randa Rhoades; Joseph Rhoades; Shaun, Bryce, Austen, Katelyn, Kadince Youngwolfe; sisters, Virginia Holland of Harrah Oklahoma; Allie Lou Gwin of Russellville; brothers, Fay Rhoades of Young Gravelly; J.M. Rhoades of Wagner, Oklahoma; several nieces & nephews and a host of loved ones. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 3, 2014, at the Mulberry Free Will Baptist Church with Rev Lavan Robinson and Rev Ben King officiating. Burial will be at Parks Cemetery with Military Honors. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Shaun Rhoades, Bradley Pickens, Joe Pickens, Jay Hunnicutt, Allen Austin, Darrel Holland and Tommy Vanover. Honorary pallbearers will be the Mulberry Church family.
