Calandra Mae Montez age 36 of Rover passed away Wednesday, November 27, 2024.  She was born January 5, 1988 in Boulder, Colorado to Vicki Pepler Stone and Dewey Montez, Sr. She was a member of the Light House Christian Center in Wing. She loved drawing, poetry, camping, hiking, and spending time with her kids.  She was preceded in death by one sister.

Survivors include her mother, Vicki Stone; father, Dewey Montez, Sr.; children, Caleb Ballew and Promise Ballew; sister, Alece Montez; brothers, Dewey "John" Montez Jr., and Rommel Montez; nieces and nephews, Rommel Montez, Jr., Alicia Montez, Elijah Montez, Stephen Martinez, Xochitl Otero, Soloman Otero and Noemi Griego, Andrew Montez, Tyrany Montez, Mataeus Montez, Draven Montez and Taylor Neeley.

Funeral service will be 2:00 pm Thursday, December 5, 2024 at the Light House Christian Center in Wing with Pastor Dan & Mary Osolin officiating.  Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 pm Wednesday, December 4, at the Danville Cornwell Funeral Home. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery at Plainview.

Pallbearers include Promise Ballew, Caleb Ballew, Blaze Baker, Dominik Daily, Jairo Becerra, Kory Denny, Cutter Hance and Jackson Crites.

Honorary Pallbearer will Jazmine Houston.
