Caleb Jase
Talbert
July 13, 1999 – December 7, 2024
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Caleb Jase Talbert, a beloved son, grandson, nephew, brother, and friend to many. Jase's vibrant spirit touched the lives of everyone he encountered, and his memory will forever be cherished by those who knew him. Jase brought joy to so many with his affection, sweet demeanor, and pure, innocent charm—a gift he carried throughout his 25 beautiful years on this earth.
A special needs child, Jase lived his life to the absolute fullest. He loved going on beach trips, visiting zoos and aquariums, and riding around in "the Viper," something he always looked forward to with great excitement. He had a deep love for water, and pools, creeks, and any body of water brought him endless delight, often making it a challenge to get him to leave! Jase also had a serious love for Dr. Pepper. If there was a can or bottle in sight, you could bet it would be gone in a flash!! Jase could chug a Dr. Pepper faster than anyone could blink, leaving us all in awe of his skills and perhaps slightly concerned about how much caffeine he could handle in one sitting.
Jase's sensory experiences were equally special to him—blocks, sand, vibrations, and music all brought him peace and happiness. Though he was unable to speak in his earthly body, Jase communicated his love and joy in ways that transcended words. Now, free from autism and epilepsy, Jase is in his heavenly body, embraced in the arms of Jesus.
Jase is survived by his mother, Kellie Nitsch, and stepfather, Ben Nitsch of Fort Worth, TX; his maternal grandparents Kelly and Margie Ennis of Russellville, AR, and Kathy Gundlach of Springdale, AR; maternal great-grandmother, Paige Cohen; his father, Roy Talbert of Dardanelle, AR; his paternal grandparents, Bill and Marion Talbert of Cement, OK, Brenda Dotson of Dover, AR, and Roy and Tammy Harris of Jonesboro, AR; special grandparents, Charles and Pam Nitsch; his brother, Fischer Talbert of Russellville, AR; step brothers, Cole Nitsch, Carson Nitsch and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and wonderful caregivers at Accepting Hands.
Jase was preceded in death by his cousin, Carisa Ennis; his great-grandfather, Jack Ennis; his great grandparents, Curtis and Vickie Sims; uncle, Ronnie Dotson; his best friend, Devon Henry; and his amazing therapist and friend, Jodi Cabaness.
In his passing, Jase gave the ultimate gift of life through organ donation, offering hope and the gift of life to several families.
Though his time with us was brief, Jase left an indelible mark on everyone he met. He lived his life with a joy and innocence that reminded us all of the simple beauty of love. He was truly a special boy, loved deeply by all.
A celebration of Jase's life will be held AT 10:00A.M., Monday December 16, 2024 at Cornwell Funeral Chapel in Dardanelle. Visitation will be held Sunday, 4:00P.M. to 6:00P.M. at Cornwell Funeral Chapel in Dardanelle. Burial will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park in Russellville. Family and friends are invited to honor his memory by sharing stories, memories, and the love he brought into the world.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Manes and Miracles in Fort Smith, AR, supporting their mission to provide therapeutic services to children with special needs.
Rest easy, sweet Jase. Your light and love will shine forever in our hearts.
