In Loving Memory of Carol Jean Barnes

1954 – 2025

Carol Jean Barnes, age 71, passed away peacefully on November 15, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. A devoted mother, cherished grandmother, and proud great-grandmother, Carol's life was a testament to strength, kindness, and unwavering love.

Born in 1954, Carol dedicated her life to nurturing those around her. She was the beloved mother of three children, whose lives she shaped with wisdom and warmth. Her legacy lives on through her seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, each carrying forward her spirit of compassion and resilience.

Carol will be remembered for her generous heart, her infectious laughter, and the way she made everyone feel like family. She will also be remembered for her heartfelt work with children at church and leading them to Christ. Her huge heart and unwavering love was shown to all her children and church family. She made a huge impact to the children in her life. Her home was always open, her table always full, and her love always abundant. She served the lord the same way she proudly served in the United States Navy.

She leaves behind a loving husband Burell (Gene) Barnes, three children Burell and his wife Suzanne Barnes, Dixie and her husband Derek Brand, and Danielle Barnes. She also leaves behind 7 grandchildren Alexus Brand, Skylynn Brand, Dixie Jean Pigeon, Elizabeth (Boo) Pigeon, Katie Nichols, Alan Barnes, and Isaac Barnes along with 3 great grandchildren and numerus brothers and sisters. All who adored her, friends who cherished her, and a lifetime of memories that will continue to inspire all who knew her.

A celebration of Carol's life will be held at 2:00P.M. Friday, November 21, 2025 at Cornwell Funeral Chapel in Dardanelle with Lynn Crawford officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday, 5:00P.M. to 7:00P.M. at Cornwell Funeral Home in Dardanelle..
