Carrie Viola Prince age 96 of Plainview passed away Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at Mitchell's Nursing Home. She was born January 26, 1916 in Plainview, AR to the late Jim & Lottie Brown Hall. She was a homemaker and a member of the Plainview First Baptist Church, she was the longest living member since 1926. She was preceded in death by her husband Jim Prince; granddaughter, Lorrie Solley Cannon; brothers, Earl Hall, Laudell Hall, Tom Hall, Jack Brown; sisters, Pearl Marks and Willine Acker. Survivors include son James Paul May of Danville; daughter Charlotte & Bob Solley of Rover; sisters Emma Smith of Texas; Sarah Griffin of Coal Hill; Margaret Ann Spikes of Texas; brother Bill Hall of Louisiana; 7 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 11, 2012 at Plainview First Baptist Church with Rev Joe Yates and Rev. Monroe Hunt officiating. Burial will be at Salem Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at Plainview First Baptist Church. Pallbearers will be grandsons. Arrangements by Cornwell Funeral Home, Danville.
