Carroll O. Martin age 93 of Danville passed away from this life to the next on March 9, 2024 to be with his wife Hazel of 72 years.

Carroll was born October 26, 1930 to the late Dennis & Thelma Turner Martin in Blair, Oklahoma. As a young man, Carroll moved to Arkansas where he met his wife Hazel at Memory Lane in Belleville. After starting a family with the birth of their first born, son Don. He and Hazel moved to Texas to pursue a career of 50 years at Monsanto Chemical Co. and had their second son Michael. Carroll and Hazel moved back to Arkansas after his retirement from Monsanto and enjoyed his retirement years with traveling, gardening, and spending time with his sons, grandsons, and his great-granddaughter. He was a member of the Upper Spring Creek Freewill Baptist Church.

Preceded in death by his wife of 72 years, Hazel Martin; and parents.

Survivors include his sons, Don H. & Betty Martin of League City, Texas; Michael L. Martin and partner Will Detering of Hempstead, Texas; grandsons, Clayton and Derek Martin; great-grand-daughter, Trinity Martin.

Service will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, March 16, 2024 at the                              Upper Spring Creek Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Mark King and Rev. Steve Downum officiating. Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 pm Friday, March 15, at the Cornwell Funeral Home Danville. Burial will be at Upper Spring Creek Cemetery.

Pallbearers include Derek Martin, Clayton, Martin, Gage George, Jeff Roy, Ernie James, and Brad Jackson.

Honorary pallbearers include Reedy Rounsaville, Kent Dennis, Louie DeLisle, Billy Neal Martin, George Albert Hawkins, Paul Hawkins and Lynn Ferguson.
