It was with a generous spirit that Casie Rachelle Walker lived her life. Her natural desire to care for others and to put others' needs before her own led her to pursue a career in nursing.

Casie Walker died Tuesday, April 5, 2016, after an extended illness. She was 41 years old. Casie was born July 6, 1974, in Magnolia, Arkansas, the daughter of Gene and Linda Smith. She spent her first 16 years growing up in Stamps, Arkansas and was a member of the Yellow Jackets Band and Cheer team. Casie also excelled at dance.

In 1990, the Smith Family moved to Russellville. Casie was a 1992 Cyclone Graduate of Russellville High School. She later earned a BSN in Nursing from Arkansas Tech University in Russellville. Along the way, she met the love of her life – Chris Walker of Dover. They had two beautiful children, Reagan Paige, who is a senior at Dover High School and Gage Brennan, who is a talented basketball player and a sophomore at Dover. Casie was a Registered Nurse at Baptist Health in Little Rock and a member of the First Baptist Church in Dover.

She is survived by her husband of 18 years, Chris Walker of Dover; her two children, Reagan Paige Walker and Gage Brennan Walker also of Dover; her parents, Gene and Linda Smith of Russellville; her sisters, Cara Williams of Dover, Christy L. Smith of Sherwood; her father and mother-in-law, Ron and Ellie Walker of Dover; her brothers-in-law; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00P.M., Saturday, April 9, 2016 at the First Baptist Church in Dover with Bro. Jeff Paxton officiating. The burial will be private at McFadden Cemetery in Dover.
