Cecil 'Ray' Cooksey age 94 of Lamont, Oklahoma passed away June 4, 2022.

Cecil was born May 31, 1928, in Laurel, Mississippi to the late James Oliver & Hazel Pitts Cooksey. He was a World War II Navy Veteran, an active participant of Lamont Baptist Church, a member of the Plainview Baptist Church, Gideons, and American Legion. He was a retired appliance repair and previous Rover Exxon business owner.

He was preceded in death by his wife Ruth Christophers Cooksey.

Survivors include his son Richard Douglas Cooksey of the home; daughter & son-in-law, Charlotte Ruth & Craig Richardson of Lamont, Oklahoma; brother, Don & Theresa Cooksey of Carlinville, IL.; sister, Bobbie Jo & C.A. McCool of Geronimo, OK.; grandsons, Brian Richardson of Sicklerville, New Jersey; Chris & My Le Richardson of Tulsa, OK.; great-grandsons, Canyon Robert Formato and Camden Roy Richardson; great-granddaughters, Naomi Ruth and Cecila Ray Richardson.

Graveside services with military honors will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 10, 2022 at Hunts chapel Cemetery in Rover.
