Charles Barton Charles Wesley Barton age 76 of Dardanelle died Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at Baptist Medical Center. He was born March 18, 1938 at Cecil, Arkansas to the late Kyle Nelson and Lila Victoria Wood Barton. He was a member of the Cecil Methodist Church, a starting member of the Yell County Wildlife Federation and retired from Arkla Gas Company after 38 years of service. He loved hunting and fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, James Nelson Barton. Survivors include his wife, Nesie McNew Barton of Dardanelle; one daughter, Johnna Barton Wedge of Dardanelle; one son, Dr. Lance Barton and wife Jonna of Greenwood; mother-in-law, Jettie McNew of Dardanelle; brother-in-law, Larry Joe Pfeifer of Dardanelle; sister-in-law, Jolynn Carter and husband Leland of Dardanelle; five grandchildren, Kyle Barton and wife Alyssia of Memphis, TN, Katelyn Barton, Ashlyn Barton and Brooklyn Barton all of Greenwood, Andrea Wedge of Dardanelle. Funeral services will be held at 10:00A.M., Saturday, July 19, 2014 at the Calvary Baptist Church in Dardanelle with Bro. Gary Blair officiating. Burial will be in Brearley Cemetery in Dardanelle. Visitation will be held Friday, 5:00P.M. to 7:00P.M. at the church. Pallbearers will be Fred Barton, Michael Barton, Greg Barton, Chad Carter, Mac Carter, Logan Carter, Jason Fleming. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Ever So Fast Coffee Shop Crew, Freddy Jackson, Roger Thurston.
