Charles W. Combs age 90 of Russellville passed away Saturday, February 13, 2021 at his home. He was born July 10, 1930 in Combs, Arkansas to the late Jesse Combs and Mamie Patrick Combs. He was a member of the Dardanelle Church of Christ, the Arkansas Army National Guard, where he retired with the rank of Major.  He was a graduate of the University of Arkansas where he earned his masters degree in education, a pilot, teacher, air traffic controller, and owner/operator of a construction company for over 30 years. He enjoyed his work as well as gardening and farming. One of his greatest joys was giving $2 dollar bills to children and widows at Christmas time. Later in life, he loved to travel visiting family, especially his Eversole cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; the mother of his children, Thelma Combs; a son, Gary Combs; a daughter, Scharlene McChristian; three grandchildren, Ben Bolin, Kris Bolin, and Alisha Graham; one brother, Cecil Combs and a son-in-law, Dan Bolin.

Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Treva Combs of Russellville; daughter, Scherrie Bolin of Rogers; son, Mark Combs of Rogers; two step-daughters, Julie Glenn (Regan) of Siloam Springs, and Donna Ward; nine grandchildren, Hayley Taylor (Wes), Gabe Combs, Dustin Bolin (Jenny), Jennifer McChristian, Ashtin Austin (Cory), Samantha Bradley (Hunter), Matthew Gillespie, and Parker and Cooper; eighteen great grandchildren; three brothers-in-law and spouses, Larry White (Betty), Edward White (Betty), Fred White (Linda); sister-in-law Iris Combs; several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00A.M., Saturday, March 6, 2021 at the Dardanelle Church of Christ.
