Charles Lee Dacus age 86 of Dardanelle, passed away Friday, May 8, 2026 at Dardanelle Nursing and Rehab Center. He was born December 10, 1939 in Chickalah, Arkansas to the late Claude Franklin Dacus and Mildred Farmer-Dacus. He was a member of the National Guard, and the First Freewill Baptist Church and a 32nd Degree Mason. Charles loved to fish, work on lawn mowers and spend time with his grandkids. He worked at Con-Agra Foods, Arkansas Nuclear One and did construction work. He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Mildred Farmer Dacus; his second mother, Marie Hickerson Dacus; and his siblings, Freda Watson, Mary Jean Shuffield, Violet Crane and Russell Hawks.
Survivors include his loving wife of 63 Years, Eula Smith Dacus of Dardanelle; one daughter, Tressa Morgan (John) of Russellville; sister, Jerri King (Charles) of Centerville; two grandchildren, Chris Reed (Christine) of Greenbrier, Nathan Morgan (Olivia) of Richmond, Virginia; honorary granddaughter, Yaritza Santa Cruz-Pastor and great grandchildren, Miles, McKenna, Maxton Reed; and honorary great granddaughter, Bella Rebollar-Santa Cruz.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00P.M., Monday, May 18, 2026 at Cornwell Funeral Chapel in Dardanelle with Rev. David Bishop officiating. Visitation will be held Monday, 1:00P.M. to 2:00P.M. at the chapel prior to the service. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery in Russellville.
