Charles R. New

Charles R. New died at his home on Friday, August 21, 2020. He was the son of W. Harvey and Susie New. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Nell. They were blessed with two children, Chuck New (Kay) and Dr. Sandra Parham (Dr. Jon) and 5 grandchildren – April Watson (David), Evan Long (Mia), Dr. Kayla Sapkota (Dr. Pradeep), Hannah Bridgman (Jeff), Charla Owens (Jessie) and two great grandchildren, Mackenzie and Josiah Watson, a sister-in-law, Treva Gladden, niece, Alisha Parker and nephews, Michael and Dallas Parker. He was pre-deceased by a brother-in-law, Darvin Gladden and a nephew-in-law, Charlie Parker.

Charles was a member of Kiwanis and Pottsville First Baptist Church where he served as an ordained deacon. Charles was an avid traveler and visited all 50 states, and lived in Alaska while in the military and made 5 European trips.

He was a successful business owner with his wife and son. His customers were treasured friends and he appreciated church and biological families, care takers, and friends and thanked them for a good and happy life.

There will be no public services. Arrangements are private and by Cornwell Funeral Home. Memorials maybe made to the building fund of Pottsville First Baptist Church, P.O. ox 153, Pottsville, Arkansas 72858.

He would say, "Good bye until re-united in a better world".
