Charles Tharp

Charles Alfred Tharp age 77 of Dardanelle died Thursday, December 15, 2016 at Baptist Health Medical Center. He was born September 12, 1939 at Houston, Texas to the late Owen Bazzle and Ivy Harkleroad Tharp. He was of the Baptist Faith and he loved to hunt, fish and watch wrestling. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Louella Tharp; three sons, Mike Tharp, Charles Ray Tharp, Charles A. Tharp Jr. and one sister, Alice Weve.

Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Judy Tharp of Dardanelle; five children, Cheryl Kay Tharp of Texas, Kelly Dawn Guillory of Texas, Deborah Dianne Long of Houston, Arkansas, Timothy Neal Tharp of Danville, Paula Jean Brown (Samuel "Bud") of Dover; ten grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30A.M., Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at Cornwell Chapel in Dardanelle with Rev. Carl Fair officiating. Burial will be private in Brearley Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday, 9:30A.M. to 10:30A.M. at the chapel prior to the service.

Pallbearers will be Bud Brown, Timothy Tharp II, Gordon Tharp, Chad Durham, Mason Brown and David Fondren.
